This is a two-day workshop designed for beginners and/or existing steel guitarists who have some experience on the steel guitar and would like to take their playing to the next level by learning new pieces and explring practice strategies.
The Starter Class will work on basic technique (straight bar, forward and reverse slants), blocking, p-tahs, production of better tone, TAB reading.
The Symposium Class will work on tone production, intonation, proper bar slants technique, background fills for songs and ideas for jamming.
The workshop culminates with a kani kapila or jam session.
